    Great pants

    I love these pants. I bought another from a dedicated outlet for Montane. My only criticism is the belt doesn’t stay put. Also the waist is very generous, so for improvements, a slightly tighter fit around the waist area would be preferable and/or a better belt.

    Other than that, they’re very comfortable and I love the taper…. No issues with hiking, really amazing amount of stretch.

    Replacement of previous trousers (up a size).

    Good stretch & flex as before.

    I must admit that I have switched the belt again to a non metallic elasticated one, my preference & less hassle going through airport.

    At last, a proper belt buckle and clip design

    Wore these pants for a recent trip to Iceland. They were perfect for going on walks and various trips. More than enough pockets. They retain warmth and are also splash proof. Stand out part of the desing for me though is the new type of belt buckle, which is not only very practial and easy to use, but also looks preimum too. The press-stud also has a sliding mechanism on it too, which prevents it snapping open when sitting down and my stomach applying pressure. Just a shame they don't do a shorter leg with the 38" waist, as the legs are just a little longer than I would like, but it is worth the sacrifice. I'm new to Montane clothing, seen the brand on shelves for years, but never really paid puch attention, then these pants really caught my eye. Won't hesitate to buy this brand again though.
