Just finished a 3 day winter camp in snowdonia and these were perfect. Didn’t take them off the whole time and kept my legs toasty.
Don’t get wet in the snow and quite wind resistant so going to try them for xc skiing this march.
Only negative is that the button came off and it would be best used with a belt or braces to stop you looking like a teen skateboarder

These could be great trousers, they are really warm and comfortable. But unlike other Montane trousers they could be improved.
The Leg length is very short. I’m 6’1” average build. The 34 waist is a good fit but being a 4 way stretch product it really needs a belt which it doesn’t come as standard.
Also, they only come in 1 leg length (standard) which is about 2-3 inches too short for me. They look ok with long boots but expose a lot of ankle if wearing shoes or mid boots.
The fleece lining is so soft and a real comfort against the skin, but the material and stitching for the brace loops is quite rough and irritating. The design does not allow easy removal.
If Montane addressed these easy to fix points these would be a 5 star item.

Have used these for about a week now. Really fantastic pair of trousers with great stretch, water resistance warmth. The only issue I've had has been that they become a bit slacker over the day with wear and you need a belt to keep them in place. These are going to be my go to winter trouser.
