Introducing Jon Shield
Adding knowledge to these degrees with personal training, strength and conditioning and ultra running coach qualifications Jon has key interests in getting the maximum possible out of his body with extreme challenges. Having also worked in the Parachute Regiment, security industry and most recently in various paramedic roles Jon always has a need for some form of adrenaline boost.
Jon specialises in running the most brutal races in the most extreme environments on the planet, predominantly self sufficient multi stage races. Jon had an injury from a night time parachute jump which curtailed his military career before it really got started and stopped him running for years with surgeries which didn’t help. After seeing any people regarding the issues he found a physiotherapist who pieced the jigsaw back together and got him running just over 3 years ago. Since then he’s been making up for lost time! Now the goal is to push limits.
