    I had the summer version of these leggings and was looking for some winter ones. These are great, I wore them to walk the Pennine Way (mostly in the rain) and they are comfortable, warm, and resist water ingress

    Shorter than 'short'

    My old Ineo Pants (lite and standard + short length) were different in the waist style. One had a lace tie threaded through the waist, the other had a small elastic section at the back. I found the lace tie allowed for a more adjustable fit, while the elastic section was more convenient but lost support over time. Also, maybe it's to be expected that the fabric's structure has changed due to wash-and-wear. It is softer, and the fit is flattering without restricting movement over hikes. My new Ineo pants sport a deep band supported by 1" fixed internal elastic that held up well on my hips. The new 'short' length sits higher above my ankle than expected, which may not suit others who want full coverage during outdoor activities. I kept them regardless and will continue to buy Montane's Ineo Pants for their quality, style, and comfort.
