Montane Dragons Back 4th – 9th September 2023 Entry

By opting in to enter the competition to win a Montane Dragons Back 2023 entry place you must consider yourself to be an experienced off-road runner, and capable of being self-sufficient and making safe decisions in the Welsh mountains. Dragon’s Back Competition Prize consists of:
There will be a total of 1 winner of the Dragon’s Back Race Entry Prize: 1 x entry to the 2023 Dragon’s Back Race. The prize includes the following:

Travel and accommodation (From 3rd to 10th September 2023)

1 outfit made up of: 1 x Waterproof, 1 x Base layer, 1x Midlayer, 1x Shorts & 1 x Running Vest

There is also the option to defer to the 2024 Race.

Further Prize Details and Conditions:

The Prize is only eligible for participants from within the United Kingdom, USA, Germany, Austria & Switzerland.

The prize does not include food (outside of race catering), beverages, souvenirs or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions.

The Dragons Back Race entry is only valid for the 2023 or the 2024 race; One race must be selected and no alternatives will be available.

Certain parts of the prize may require particular levels of health or fitness. Participants should ensure that they are capable of meeting the required standards set out by the dragons back race organisers, Ourea Events.

The winners acknowledge and agree that they are subject to the full terms and conditions of the Dragons Back Race which reserve the right to remove any person or refuse any person entry to their events regardless of whether they have a valid entry.

Winners are responsible for their behavior their whilst taking the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude a winner from participation in any aspect of the Prize if they fail to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize or if a winner acts in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.

Entries are personal to the winners and the sale or offering for sale, transfer, resale, donation, or exchange of any entry is strictly prohibited (including, without limitation, in person or online via an online auction website or online ticket resale marketplace). The Promoter reserves the right to cancel entries and withdraw or make void any entry if they find this has occurred.

Montane will pay the cost of the standard room plus related room taxes on the night before and night after the race. During the race all competitors are provided with camping at each checkpoint.

A valid credit or debit card will be required to check in to your room and will be used to guarantee any incidentals such as in-room calls or services.

The winner is solely responsible for any additional charges incurred at the hotel during their stay, including, without limitation, costs of meals, drinks, additional nights and services together with related taxes.

If travelling from the US or DACH region, the flights will be economy class only with one suitcase included which must comply with the Airline’s Conditions of Carriage regarding weight and size. Any excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of the winner on all flights.

Once tickets have been issued, they are only valid for flights, dates and times shown. No alternatives are available. Name changes to the flight once confirmed are not permitted.

The winner must abide by and is subject to the Airline’s published Conditions of Carriage.

Lounge passes and upgrades are not permitted; Flights cannot be used in conjunction with any loyalty programme, any other discount, discount coupon(s) or voucher(s), promotion(s) or special offer.

Flight extras are not included in the prize (flight extras include, but are not limited to, on-board meals and drinks).

Travel must be taken at the stated times; no alternatives are available. Name changes to the flight seats once confirmed are not permitted.

It is the responsibility of the Winner to check any travel advisories issued by a Government, to determine whether they wish to accept the risk of travelling to the destination. The Promoter will not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by any winner arising out of their failure to follow any travel advisories issued by a Government. The winner must comply with and are responsible for obtaining all information regarding any recommended inoculation and obtaining the inoculation(s) and health regulations required by any Prize destination country.

The Prize will be forfeited if: the Winner has not obtained all of the proper travel documents by the date specified by the Promoter; the Winner has any immigration complications which prevent them from entering, leaving or travelling within the United Kingdom; or the Winner has any medical, legal or any other reason that would prevent you from accepting and participating in the Prize.

It will be the winner’s responsibility to take out at their own cost all relevant insurance and any necessary visas (including but not limited to health and travel insurance, insurance for theft, loss and damage to property) which may be required or prudent to be taken.

The winner will require a passport valid for at least 6 months on date of travel; any necessary visas or travel insurance are the responsibility of the winner. In the event the winner is unable to travel due to visa or other personal circumstances, no alternative tickets will be issued, and no compensation or other prize will be provided.

The Promoter will have sole discretion on the implementation of the Prize.

The winner can choose size and sex of the outfit.

The Prize will be arranged by email/phone between the Promoter and the individual winner.

The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to provide the winner with details of the prize at the earliest possible opportunity. Once the prize details, including dates, locations and itinerary where applicable is confirmed, this cannot be amended or altered by the winner.
