    Warm for the weight and very comfortable

    A good quality fleece jacket that provides a noticeable degree of warmth and also works well at keeping the wind out. It looks very smart and I like the baffle inner fabric construction. The collar stands up well, when zipped up, and really makes a difference to the warmth and in keeping out the wind. The eclipse blue colour is very nice, a sort of dark blue/grey, and would look great on the hill, when relaxing at camp or out of an evening. The fit is very comfortable, not at all baggy neither tight anywhere, with a nice length. I was also pleased with the arm length which comes down to just below the wrist and again helps to keep in the warmth. For reference I'm 181cm tall with a 109cm chest and a 97cm waist and the XL size fits perfectly, particularly over a base layer. I've also tried it over a long sleeved shirt over a base layer without any loss of comfort. The fabric has a nice degree of stretch to it that allows nicely for an extra layer without compromising comfort. The two side pockets are nice and roomy extending from the side zips to the centre line of the jacket, about 21cm, and have a depth of around 30cm. Overall the jacket meets the high standards I've come to expect from Montane clothing.

    One of the best hiking fleeces out there

    I bought this for my birthday and could not be happier. Snug fit, keeps you warm, wicks away sweat. All you could ask for in a fleece like this. This is a must have if you are an avid hiker or an occasional outdoors person.
